Our feature today is Thinnerware. With Sarah's permission, owner of Thinnerware, I will give you the story in her own words.
"It was the Summer of 2007 and I, in an effort to lose a few pounds, was counting calories. Like most diets this involved measuring, measuring, and more measuring. And then there was the washing of all the measuring cups before they could be used the next day. After premeasuring yet another bowl of cereal one morning I asked myself,"Why can't dishes be marked like measuring cups? But without looking like measuring cups?"
I immediately started designing dishes that would do just that.
In 2009, with the help of family and friends, I started my own online store, Thinnerware.com. All the dishes are hand-painted in my little studio in Lehi, UT."

I'm tickled because I knew Sarah in some of the beginning stages of her company. I got to see her sit at the park with her children and design some of these dishes all while her husband was away serving our country. She has great character and is amazingly creative. Thinnerware is a huge reflection of her creativity and I'm so excited for her.
Thinnerware is on the brink of national success. Her dishes are also being featured in the November 2009 issue of Better Homes and Gardens Magazine.
And now for the fun part!
Today we will be giving away 2 place settings of your chosing. This includes two plates, two cups, and two bowls($56 value). You may also pick your own custom colors.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, one of the main reasons I haven't bought any of Sarah's dishes is because I can't decide on color and pattern.
ReplyDeleteHere are my stabs for the giveaway:
The Mandi in butternut with red accents. (or vice versa)
The Dianne in red with kiwi accents.
(Sarah, couldn't you include a cream glaze or something like that to use for a background color?)
ugh- decisions, decisions.
ok, that's my one LONG entry.
I've had several requests for an off-white or cream glaze. I'll see what I can do.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose a style and color...it would definitely be the Dianne style (white with green flowers)!
ReplyDeleteI finally follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I know I've told you this before, but I want the world to know that I think your friend Sarah is a genious!! I absolutely love this product line and would be tickled pink if I won. ReplyDeleteDefinitely Dianne! And as for color, that is tougher. I'm be tempted to go kiwi on black, but would probably go conservative with one kiwi on white and one white on kiwi to mix and match. Love this idea especially since dear hubby and I are actively fighting off the mid-life mid-bulge!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm now a follower!
ReplyDeleteI think a great color combination would be with a burnt orange and a walnut to go with Halloween and Thanksgiving place settings, then they can be part of your part of your celebrations.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower - great idea and so pretty too!
